Tuition fees in Italian Universities

Tuition fees at Italian universities are generally more affordable than in other parts of Western Europe or North America. Italy is renowned for a an excellent higher education at an affordable cost mainly because of publicly financed universities. The cost of tuition fees depends upon several factors. Public universities have much lower tuition fees than private universities. The quality of education, however, is comparably high at all institutions of higher education. Regular fees for EU and Non-EU students depend on the students’ family income and on the program you are applying for, from a minimum of 900€ to a maximum of 4.000€ per year at a public University. For private universities range from 6.000€ to around 20.000€ per year. The tuition fees may be waived by the merit based scholarships offered every year by the Universities to talented international students. Fees do not include accommodation and books.
